details…
I'd like to share with you the profound love God has for us and how He intricately he designs our experiences, never overlooking a single detail. The more He showers me with love, the more I yearn to express my love for Him. My man! My man! My man!
I never anticipated attending fashion week this year, as I was focused on my faith and home life. A friend I met at MBFW in 2013 is now managing some shows and all venues are offsite. One stunning location was a church called “The House Of The Redeemer.” There are normally movies filmed at this location so you can imagine it’s character. Absolutely beautiful with a lingering dust. A fairy tale.
I enjoyed fresh espresso while reading in the enchanting library that stretched from wall to ceiling. Playfully stretching out of the vintage French panel windows, and taking many rides in the charming 1920s elevator just for fun. From the front door, I there is a view of Central Park.
As I exited the train on 93rd I instantly recalled this very same neighborhood where I lived rent-free back in 2013.
Most of the staff reside within the sanctuary. Among them, Moe and Reverend Richard stood out as my favorites. Moe is an understated bank of knowledge. He drives a classic , forest green convertible Benz. Rev is 30 years my senior. We had engaging conversations about his wife, finances & art.
He even saved a local Arts & Finance newspaper for me because they sell out so quickly.
I’d like to give Mother Superior at the Muny” an honorable mention. She was very kind. Each morning at 8 a.m., she leads a prayer session. I overheard her mention that she often prays alone because no one else attends. So, guess who decided to join her prayer? She humorously noted that they don’t “hoot and holler” at the Episcopal Church.
My co-workers found that offensive, but I found it hilarious. She was delighted to have me there. The prayer time was truly beautiful. I cherish moments of stillness. There’s a time, place, and reason for everything. I spend my week in quiet communion with God. Sundays are a celebration!
When I first began studying the Bible, I randomly landed on the Song of Solomon. Perhaps its draw was due to my romantic nature. I read about the Rose of Sharon . I now often refer to Jesus as the Rose of Sharon or the Lily of the Valley , during prayer.
While soaking up the sun in the courtyard, I had the opportunity to admire a Rose of Sharon tree that Moe planted years ago. The rose is a flower that flourishes on mountaintops.
This is when it sunk in : God truly pays attention to the details.
